The Human Rights Organization of Afrin: Activists reported that a group of barbaric youths, unidentified (armed militia – settlers) in the village of Kosa of Rajo town, which is under the military and security control of the Faylaq al-Sham militia, on Thursday 04-02-2021, vandalized the tomb of the late poet Aref Sheikho ” Gule’s father” from the people of the village. And the desecration of the sanctity of graves under the pretext of the inscriptions on the gravestones and the marble stones surrounding in the Kurdish language, note that the Islamic graves in the world (China – Pakistan – Russia – France – Turkey) are written in the local language (the motherland), however, the pre-Islamic Arabs – the savages of the rabble – since the ages of history have not learned and accepted other human cultures and civilizations, they croak with every croak, as if they still live in the deserts, not knowing the sanctity of the graves and they do not tolerate staying in the shade of the trees surrounding the tombs, instead of protecting them they cut it off, and as if they still live in the wild, they do not know the sanctity of the graves, and they cannot afford to stay in the shade of the trees surrounding the tombs, instead of protecting them they cut them down.
A brief summary bout the life of the poet Aref Sheikho, known as “Bavê Gulê”, was born in the village of Kosa of Rajo town – Afrin region on 14/o4/1956. He studied elementary school in the village of Maydana and completed preparatory school in Afrin and secondary school in Himo village near Qamishlo city.
He interested in studying Sufism books – religious, historical and collections of poetry, especially for each of the poets (Cigerxwin – Malay Jaziri – Ahmad Khani), (Pend û şîretên kurda – dîwana Çiya Hawar û Hêvî) and many drafts in his library that include political, scientific, literary, religious and medical books.
He passed away on 04-07-2012, and he was buried in his hometown of the village cemetery (Kosa).
