The Human Rights Organization in Afrin: Activists reported that Sorrows and tragedies do not leave the faces of the people of Afrin due to the presence of the Turkish occupation forces and the armed militias loyal to them, who seek in all ways to expel the indigenous Kurdish population and settle Arabs and Turkmen in their place.

Activists also said that the Kurdish citizen Izzat Khalil Othman, 70 years old, from the village of Chaqla Wastani – of Shiye town on 02/15/2021, lost his life as a result of his injury during the explosion of a car bomb in Jenderes town center on 02/14/2021, and two other people were also injured in the bombing, and they are still receiving treatment.

In the context of the violations against the Kurds in the Afrin region, activists reported that the economic office of the Al Shamiya Front militia in the village of Kafr Janna of Shara town is based on leasing the shops owned by the forcibly Kurdish displaced citizens to the settlers for an amount of 50 Turkish liras per month, and that is after numbering the shops.

The same sources added that the Turkish occupation government is based on granting the commandos of Ahrar al-Sham (elements of the Headquarters for the Tahrir of Al-Sham who left Mount Al-Ma’arah) certain areas of the land near the radio tower between the bushes in the village of Qitme in Shara town, with the aim of building homes and settlements there, and there a training camp belonging to the 51st Brigade of the armed militia is also near the site.

The same sources also added that the so-called Abu Hussein Al-Asharne, who is the security official of the Sultan Suleiman Shah Al-Amshat faction in the village of Kakhere of Mabata town, issued a decision to prevent roaming in the village after nine o’clock at night until the morning, noting that most of the theft, armed robbery, looting and are carried out from ten o’clock at night until four in the morning. On the other hand, the relatives of the security official parked their cars in the middle of the main roads in the village to obstruct traffic, which forced them to change their path, without being able to file complaints against them.
