-To our Kurdish people in all parts of Kurdistan and in the diaspora countries
-To all the powers and peoples who are keen for freedom and peace
Our Kurdish people, in all parts of Kurdistan, are celebrating on March 21 the National Day “Newroz”, which is considered a symbol of freedom and peace and the beginning of the era of salvation from tyranny, looking forward to a better tomorrow dominated by justice and equality, wishing freedom for all humanity.
Our Kurdish people have over the past years tasted tribulations at the hands of tyrants, and today they are facing the machine of killing and displacement in Syrian Kurdistan (Afrin – Sari Kaniye – Gire Spi – Al-Bab – Manbij – Kobani – Hasaka – Qamishlo and its towns) by the de facto authorities and the tools of successive governments in the region, but they continue to struggle and sacrifice to obtain their legitimate national rights in accordance with international human rights covenants.
On such a great day, fires were kindled in the mountain tops to celebrate the arrival of Newroz. It was marked by joy and delight in the triumph of the human will.
We, in the Human Rights Organization in Afrin, congratulate our Kurdish people in parts of Kurdistan and the diaspora on the National Day “Newroz”, and we appeal to them to light fires on the balconies of houses according to the laws and customs prevailing in each country, and we also pledge to defend our cause and our national rights to gain freedom and Self-determination.
Glory to the souls of the martyrs of Newroz
Long live Newroz as a symbol of freedom and peace
Happy Newroz Day.
