Setting their sights on smuggling – stolen money – fleeing

The Human Right Organization in Afrin: The most interest of the armed militia elements of the “Free Syrian National Army” has become evident in controlling sites near smuggling crossings that may save them in the future from prosecutions, in order to flee to areas under the control of the Syrian regime and its proxy forces, which are linked with them by agreements and common interests.

Armed clashes erupted in the town of Basouta of Sherawa area, which is under the control of the Al Hamzat militia led by Abu Jaber, the “Syrian National Army,” with elements of the Faylaq Al Sham militia led by Abdullah Halawa, a former leader in the Al Hamzat militia, using various medium and light weapons (Dushka – BKC – Kalashnikov), because of personal differences between the leaders at one of the checkpoints in the village, and each of them requested military reinforcements from its allies in Afrin city due to the severity and expansion of the area of clashes to include their members deployed in each of the following villages (Basouta – Burj Abdalo Kafr Zitte – Shadere – Ghazawiya) in order to control villages belonging to Sherawa area, including especially the mountain of Al Ahlam. Some sources indicate that three settler members and civilians have been killed so far, without knowing the number of wounded.

Note that the state of alert continues, as news indicates that a committee called “Restitution of Rights and Grievances” has arrived in the town to separate the two conflicting parties, and on the other hand, clashes have already occurred several times between the elements of the Syrian Army about the stolen goods and smuggling crossings that are connected with the areas under the Syrian regime and the auxiliary forces loyal to it.
