The Human Rights Organization in Afrin: The brutality of armed militia elements and armed settlers towards Kurdish citizens has increased under the systematic directions of the leaders of the armed militias “Free Syrian National Army” loyal to the Turkish occupation government. Keeping away from public morals and religion, spreading terror and intimidation in order to deport them, as a result of chaos, insecurity, seizure of property and livestock grazing in olive fields and vineyards.
Activists said that three members of the Faylaq Al Sham militia led by Abu Jandal (among the three brothers of Abu Jandal) who control the village of Gawanda of Rajo town, on Wednesday 19/05/2021, attacked the citizen Sharif Qanbar and hit him with sticks while harvesting a crop “grape leaves” because his wife prevented one of the settlers from grazing livestock in the middle of the vineyard and trying to expel them, at present the citizen Sharif is still bedridden as a result of brutal beating.
They added that one of the shepherd settlers from the Mawali clan in the village of Alatania of Rajo town, which is under the control of the Faylaq Al Sham militia, on Monday, 17/05/2021, grazed livestock in the fields of the people, which provoked the anger of three young men from the village (Guevara – Aref – Mustafa) ) and a verbal altercation occurred between them, which turned into a fist fight after the settler showed the knife and threatened to kill them, proudly killing two residents of Jenderes town previously, and that he was ready to kill more, then, he sought help from his relatives and they assaulted the Kurdish youths, and upon the intervention of the militia members, the case was transferred to the security office in the town of Midan Akbas, who in turn threatened the young men and forced them to reconcile so that they would not be harmed later.
They confirmed, saying: While the Kurdish citizen, the simple poor peasant Muhammad Ali Murad, from the village of Kafr Safra of Jenderes town was performing the duty of a three-day mourning tent in the spirit of his late brother on Saturday, May 15, 2021, the so-called Abu Muhannad, the father of the deputy of the Samarqand Brigade militia, who controlled the village, grazing the cattle (about 400 – 425 heads) in the middle of his olive field, which is located in the plain of the village, and is planted a hectare of it with freshly harvested beans in the form of piles to collect later, and after completing the assignment and going to the field, he saw the cattle and the shepherd, despite his annoyance, replied to him saying: Try to graze the livestock for the remainder of the crop as soon as possible, in order to cultivate the land, there is no point in collecting what is left, hoping that it will be saturated with your sheep in preparation for the days of Eid Al-Adha sarcastically.
