The Human Rights Organization in Afrin : Activists reported that after the occupying power, Turkey, unleashed the armed factions of the Syrian opposition coalition in Afrin, they have largely expropriated the livelihood and lives of the indigenous Kurdish population.
Activists reported that the body of a citizen, Sherin, from the village of Joqe, 23, arrived in the village of Husse of Mabata town, who is the wife of the citizen Abdo Izzat Gainj Khamis, who was kidnapped on 22/12/2020 by a masked group wearing black clothes belonging to the al-Jabha al Shamiya and Turkish intelligence, after they brutally raided the house and spread terror and intimidation, which led to his wife, “Sherin”, contracting myeloid leukemia disease, and the complications of the disease and side effects increased, and she went into a stage of psychological frustration upon hearing that her husband was tortured by gas and fire. Noting that she was pregnant in the sixth month, and as a result of her poor health, a medical center in Afrin was transferred to a hospital in the Turkish city of Qiriq Khan before losing her life, and a cesarean operation was performed for her with the birth of two children who are still in the incubator in the city of Qiriq Khan, and the husband’s fate remains unknown so far.
They added that the members of the al Jabha al Shamiya militia who are controlling the village of Husse “Mirkan” of Mabata town on the same day Monday, 15/02/2021, raided the village and searched houses in a show of power as tools to cover up the incident of the citizenship “Sherin” and kidnapped a number of elderly residents of the village for the purpose of material extortion, collecting ransoms and accusing them of dealing with the previous administration and taking them to the security headquarters (Military Police headquarters) in the town center without knowing their fate until now, their names are as follow:
1- Mustafa Bakr Omar, 62 years old
2 – Mustafa Mahmoud Hanan, 61 years old
3- Muhammad Mannan Abdo, 60 years old
4- Muhammad Mustafa Hassiko, 45 years old.
