Displaced Kurds in Shahba area, their fate is either imprisonment or murder

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin: The people of Afrin region, who are forcibly displaced from their villages and towns, and are being held within the de facto authority camps represented by the PYD administration and their allies from the political currents loyal to the Syrian regime in Shahba area, are still subjected to all forms of violence and material extortion and prey by gangs of human traffickers and smugglers in the towns of Nubil and Zahra, and some of the self-administration leaders benefiting from. Recently, they handed over a group of Kurdish citizens wishing to go to their homes in the city of Aleppo to the Air Force Intelligence agents stationed in the industrial zone “Sheikh Najjar” after they were reported to by the PYD administration officials, and they were taken to the airport of Kiweres and from there to a prison in the city of Aleppo and military police detention centers, they were beaten and tortured by various means after taking off their clothes, and describing them as terrorists, under the pretext of leaving the PYD administration Shahba areas and entering illegally “smuggling” to the city of Aleppo. Moreover, a number of them were released after they were forced to pay the ransom “bribes” to the officers through brokers. They confirmed that they had received death threats and arbitrary arrest in the event of thinking about leaving the lands under the control of the de facto authority Shahba area, whether in the direction of Afrin or Aleppo city.

Activists reported the Human Rights Organization in Afrin added that a landmine planted between rocks exploded in the vicinity of “Mazen” village of Sherawa area at noon on Sunday 11/04/2021 while the children are the same family (Hussein) from the village residents were heading to play, resulting in two children losing their lives and seriously injuring two of them, their names are:

1 – Ibrahim Hussein, 12 years old, lost his life

2 – Diyar Hamo Hussein, 11 years old, “lost his life”

3- Hussein Ibrahim Hussein, 9 years old, “injured”

4- Nisreen Muhammad Hussein, 12 years old, “injured”

They also added that Kurdish citizen Juma Fayyad, 19 years old, from the village of Arab Weran of Shara town, lost his life on Monday, March 29, 2021, as a result of his wounds as a result of his injury by the explosion of a landmine planted in the town of Tal Rif’at by the de facto authority of the PYD administration Because of preventing the people of Afrin region from returning to their villages and towns in coordination with the Syrian regime and their understandings with the Turkish occupation forces and the armed militias loyal to them, and using them as human shields and trading their lives in addition to kidnapping their children and plunging them into futile wars that serve the agendas of the Syrian regime and the guarantor countries that they hold their meetings under the name “Astana-Sochi” . Those mines that have claimed the lives of more than 200 citizens so far, pointing out that the PYD administration planted new mines from time to time and then claim that they are remnants of war and from what ISIS terrorists planted, without trying to dismantle the mines.
