The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said that members of the Al-Waqqas Brigade militia, who control the village of Hekije of Jenderes town, at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, 02/06/2021, raided the village after imposing a security siege in order to intimidate the people and take revenge on them for filing complaints against them before the so-called “Response of Rights and Grievances” committee, and kidnapped the young Ali Al-Ali from the village and took him to the security headquarters without knowing his fate until now.
The organization also said that civil police intelligence elements, on Saturday, May 26, 2021, kidnapped Ali Hamza, 65, after raiding his house in Rajo town center, on charges of dealing with the former de facto authority, and took him to the security headquarters in the town and transferred him. After investigations, he was transferred to Marate prison, and his fate is still unknown.
The organization added that about a month ago, a verbal altercation erupted between the young Khalil Hasan Youssef from the village of Quota, “the driver of a van to transport passengers from the center of Bulbul town to the city of Afrin, with one of the armed militia members at the checkpoint in the city of Afrin, and on Thursday, 24/ 05/2021, while he was passing through the checkpoint, he was stopped to take revenge on him. The passengers unloaded and took him (Khalil) to an unknown destination without knowing his fate until now.
The organization concluded its report that an Arab settler called Abu Rashid, who comes from the town of Harridan of Aleppo city, and who resides in the village of Gabalaka of Shara town, takes over the mill located on the main road leading to the town of Midanky near the Qara Jurne shrine, on the pretext that it belonged to the previous administration. He also grazes livestock and herds of cows amid the fields of the people in front of the eyes of the Turkish forces and with the complicity of the leaders of the armed militias without being deterred, except for the severe material damage caused to the people’s fields and the environment as a result of the spread of unpleasant odors.
